  • Florence County School District Two Election of Trustees

The Florence County School District Number Two Board of Trustees will hold its Annual Election of Trustees for District Two Citizens at the Hannah-Pamplico High School Gymnasium on Thursday, March 19, 2020.   The voting for Trustees will be the only order of business on this day.  The gym will be open at 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for trustee voting.

Filing for Board Trustee Seat No. 3, Seat No. 4 and Seat No. 5 will open Tuesday, January 28, 2020.  The filing deadline is 4:30 p.m. on March 3, 2020.

During this election process, three (3) trustees will be elected for a three-year term and will be voted on by Florence County School District Two’s registered voters.

The law applying to election of school board members in Florence County School District No. Two states, that any person desiring to be a candidate for Trustee in Florence County School District No. Two shall, in person, file his intention to offer as a candidate with the Superintendent of Florence County School District No. Two on or before the first Tuesday in March.  Trustees will be elected from the candidates who file by the deadline.  The three-year terms of Mrs. Mona Lisa M. Andrews (Seat No. 3), Mr. Thadis D. Calcutt, Jr. (Seat No. 4), and Mr. Raleigh O. Ward, Jr. (Seat No. 5) are expiring.  In order to be eligible to vote on the trustees, each citizen must be a registered voter with a valid identification photograph (S.C. Driver’s License, ID Card Issued by SC Department of Motor Vehicles, SC Voter Registration Card with Photo, Federal Military ID, or US Passport).  The valid identification photograph must be presented as the citizen registers to vote for Trustees.  If a run-off is required due to a candidate not receiving a majority of votes cast, it will be held one week later.  The run-off date is set for March, 26, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the gym.
