eLearning procedures for March 18-March 31, 2020
Florence County School District 2 has established eLearning procedures for March 18-March 31, 2020 and will transition to eLearning on Wednesday, March 18.
Pre-kindergarten through second grade and third grade Montessori eLearning packets will be distributed on the district and school websites tomorrow, March 17. Beginning on March 18, students in traditional grades 3-12 should log in to Google using their district email accounts and then access Google Classroom for all assignments. If a student needs instructional assistance, he/she should contact his/her teacher using the teacher’s email or through Google Classroom. Teachers for traditional grades 2-12 will post required lessons by 9:00 a.m. daily during this time. In addition, all teachers will hold Virtual Office Hours from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. during the eLearning school day to assist and respond to messages from students and parents.

Students are responsible for submitting all assignments within five (5) days of returning to school if they encounter any issues completing the assignments due to a loss of power or no internet access. Teachers may grade assignments according to the teacher’s grading policy.

Student Medical Needs (Non-Emergency)
Our School nurse(s) will be available should you or your students need anything that is not a medical emergency. Please email Mary Alice Faulkenberry at mfaulkenberry@fsd2.com or call (843) 493-9235 with any questions. This email will be monitored for the duration of the eLearning event.
Technical Support
The Technology Department will provide technical support to all students, parents, faculty, and staff during an eLearning event. You may reach the technology support team by calling 843-493-9213 or by email at support@fsd2.org. Please note the preferred method of contact is email. Technical staff members will be available to assist between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. during eLearning events.
